The Canterbury Choir rehearsal is on Thursdays at 7:30pm to 9:00pm. This choir sings an interesting and varied repertoire of Anthems, Psalms and spiritual songs on three Sundays each month at the 10:00am worship services and one Sunday a month at the 8:00am service. This choir enjoys lively social times and has great spirit!
The St. Cecilia Choir (ages 7 to 15) rehearsal is on Friday from 3:45pm to 5:30pm. and is responsible once a month for the music at the 10:00am service. In addition to learning singing and music skills, choristers gain knowledge of liturgy and church history by attending Royal School of Church Music and Christian Education classes each week. This choir also participates in Evensongs, festivals and field trips.
The Angel Choir (ages 4 to 6) rehearsal is on Wednesday from 3:45pm to 4:25pm. These tiny choristers sing each month for 10:00am worship, and participate in festivals and biblical musicals. Children learn the basic language of music, including beginning note reading, singing and rhythm instruments. This is a perfect place to introduce your child to music!
Choir Parents assist with rehearsals, Sunday services, socials, transportation and phone calling.
The Jubilate Ringers
rehearsal is on Mondays at 9:30am to 11:30am. They ring four octaves of handbells and three octaves of handchimes. They ring for the Sunday worship, Evensongs and many community festivals. Special introduction to bells is offered to anyone interested in ringing.
The Faith Handbell Choir rehearsal is on Friday from 3:00pm to 3:45pm.
Tower Bells - The ability to read music and strength to push down the levers is required for this ministry. Special instruction is available.
Music Library Assistance St. Luke’s has a very large choral and instrumental music library. We have the software to catalog it and are in need of help to enter the anthems and pieces.
